Binge Drinking: a term used to describe excessive drinking, usually within a short time frame. Five or more drinks for a male and four or more drinks for a female.
If alcohol abuse (binge drinking) continues it may progress into full blown alcoholism and need detoxification, rehabilitation and treatment.
