Alcohol Abuse

22/02/2010

Using alcohol in a manner that repeatedly causes harm to financial, emotional, social, and physical or career performance.

On another level pathological alcohol abuse is defined by the World Health Organisation as the consumption of more than 21 units of alcohol per week for males, and 14 units of alcohol per week for females.

It’s interesting to note that any drinking of alcohol by teenagers /adolescents constitutes abuse as they are below the legal age limit.
